Most residential installations utilize a "cut off" lighting system as opposed to flood lighting. The "cut-off" systems have several advantages over flood type lighting:

• A low pole height (approximately 20') allows for easier maintenance and more appealing aesthetics.
• The light is contained to the immediate court area only. Minimal glare.

Flood lighting requires poles to be at least 35' in height and can be more economical and practical on large scale commercial projects.
