December 15, 2012; Bethesda, MD - Cape and Island Tennis & Track is chosen by U.S. Builders Review Magazine to highlight their article on Sport Surfacing. September 19, 2012; Farmington Hills, MI - Cape and Island Tennis & Track is notified by the Post Tensioning Concrete Institute of the successful training, testing, and certification of Gordon Pierce as "Certified Post Tension Concrete Field Installer". Mr. Pierce is the first ASBA certified tennis court installer in New England to add post tension certification to his credentials. As the cost of asphalt continues to climb, post tensioned concrete tennis courts are becoming a better value for serious architects, institutions and homeowners. Cape and Islands Tennis & Track has been building post tensioned concrete tennis courts since 1990.
May 4, 2012; Springfield, MA - Cape and Island Tennis & Track is awarded a contract for the construction of eight new post-tensioned concrete tennis courts and a new state of the art running track at Springfield College. February 1, 2012; Madison, WI - Athletic Business Magazine quotes Cape and Island's Kristoff Eldridge several times in its feature article on the rise in quality of U.S. built running tracks. December 5, 2011; Palm Desert, CA - CIT&T celebrates a windfall ASBA awards season, taking home four distinguished track and four distinguished tennis facility awards. This achievement was then topped by winning the Outdoor Tennis Facility of the Year award for the Choate Rosemary Hall project. Projects awarded included the tracks at Harvard, Barnstable High School, North Reading High School and Winnacunnet Regional High School and tennis facilities at the Berkshire School, and private residences in Wellesley and Weston, MA. August 25, 2011; Ellicott City, MD - Cape and Island Tennis & Track is notified by the American Sports Builders Association that eight Cape and Island projects will receive Distinguished Facility Awards for excellence in tennis court and running track construction. Four awards were given by RSI Magazine for tennis court construction and four by American Track & Field Magazine for running track construction. Winners will be recognized at the annual ASBA meeting in December in California. For photos of the winning facilities, click here.
July 29, 2011; Cambridge, MA - Harvard University selects Cape and Island Tennis & Track to renovate its twenty four court tennis complex. Arguably the regions finest outdoor tennis facility, The Beren Tennis Center's eighteen courts have hosted many prestigious tournaments as well as the first and second rounds of the NCAA Championships. The six indoor courts at the Murr Center serves the entire intercollegiate program and received a USTA National Facility Award in 1999. The long standing relationship between the Harvard Crimson and Cape and Island Tennis & Track has produced many successful projects, making the decision to work together on this renovation an easy one. July 20, 2011; Worcester, MA - Cape and Island Tennis & Track begins installation of the state of the art BSS-1000 full pour track system at The College of the Holy Cross' Hart Track. The IAAF Certified 13mm embedded system will allow Crusader athletes to perform at their highest levels while training or in competition. The newly renovated facility will host the Patriot League outdoor track championships in the spring of 2012.
April 24, 2011; The May issue of Racquet Sports Industry (RSI) Magazine includes "Distinguished Facility of the Year Awards" featuring award winning "soft courts". The Har-Tru court installed by Cape and Island Tennis & Track at Newbridge on the Charles was showcased in the article.
March 31, 2011; Cape and Island Tennis & Track is selected to install a 13mm BSS-1000 full pour track surface at the new Waterford High School, CT. The BSS 1000 is an IAAF certified surface that allows athletes to perform at their highest level while training or in competition.
March 4-5, 2011; Boston, MA - The New England Principal's Association partners with Cape and Island Tennis & Track to hold the New England High School Indoor Track Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center.
December 6, 2010; Jacksonville, FL - CIT&T receives ASBA Outstanding Facility awards for the Brewster Tennis Facility and the Archbishop Williams Track & Field.
December 5, 2010; Jacksonville, FL CIT&T Track Division Vice President Kristoff Eldridge addresses ASBA Track Division after he is re-elected to a second term as ASBA Track Division President.
November 16, 2010; Harvard University - CIT&T receives rave reviews from Harvard Track Department as a result of the installation of the new outdoor running track surface.

August 20, 2010 Waltham, MA; CIT&T completes resurfacing of the running track at Leary Field. The existing Plexitrac Accelerator installed by CIT&T eleven years ago is being resurfaced for the first time this summer. This standard maintenance cycle resurface testifies to the longevity and durability of a properly installed Plexitrac System.

June 25th 2010; Harvard University selects Cape and Island Tennis & Track to replace its outdoor track surface. The synthetic surface on the McCurdy outdoor track has been renovated twice (by competitors) over the past four years with little success. Harvard officials, with the help of its consultant Stantec; worked with CIT&T to develop a solution to Crimson track facility woes. The surface will be replaced with an embedded BSS-300 system manufactured by Beynon Sports Surfaces.
June 14th, 2010; CIT&T begins the complete reconstruction of the running track facility at Winnacunnet Regional High School in Hampton, NH. This will be the first sports facility project in New Hampshire to utilize cooperative purchasing contracts with AEPA awarded vendor Atlas Track & Tennis and its partner in the Northeast, Cape and Island Tennis & Track. This procurement method allows schools to save valuable time and money when buying specialty sports construction items (synthetic turf, running tracks, tennis courts etc.); without having to duplicate a challenging bid process. June 10, 2010; Brewster, MA – CIT&T completes surfacing the first USTA Quick Start tennis courts on Cape Cod. Courts were designed by Gale Associates and built by R.A.D. Sports
